• Saturday 8 November 2025 Junior Parkrun School Launch Report WELL - I challenged the school to see how many of you could turn up and nearly 30 of you managed to come up to Brookes Sports Field on Sunday morning! The adults had been a bit wary of the weather but by 9am the sky was clear and blue and the sun was shining! What perfect conditions to launch our partnership with school and junior parkrun!54 participants turned up and (at least) 26 were from Team North Hinksey! I say ‘at least' as there were some participants who didn't bring a barcode so their name doesn't show on the results page.Of those 26, 10 were brand new parkrunners! Welcome to the club Athena, Ben, Chloe, Florence, Isla, Lucy, Maya, Miles, Rosie and Yusuf! We also had 4 new PBs! PB means Personal Best, so Finley, Isaak, Katy and Rose all completed the course in their fastest time ever – Well done!Anna was the first to make it through the funnel from Team North Hinksey (TNH) – congratulations! • Thursday 16 October 2025 Parkrun Primary This week we had a visit from Harcourt Hill Junior Parkrun! The Run Director (Ben) from Harcourt Hill Junior Parkrun spoke to the school in Gathering about junior parkrun, the benefits in taking part and goteveryone involved in the fun warm-up (even the teachers). We also shared some feedback from our Junior Parkrun Ambassadors (children who already take part regularly!)

• Friday 10 October 2025 Columba and Aquila - Reflect and Review We had another busy week! Columba and Aquila explored amazing houses from around the world and began creating imaginative stories about how people live and eat. These workshops are part of the LEGO Architecture series run by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Oxford Brookes University. The children enjoyed the first workshop and are looking forward to the next one next week.
