Year 3 and 4 Ashmolean Trip
Bringing History to Life at North Hinksey Primary School! Our Year 3 and 4 pupils recently had the opportunity to explore the Ashmolean Museum, where they learned about the Stone Age and the animals that were hunted during that time.
The pupils were fully immersed in the experience, touching and handling artefacts. This hands-on approach to learning is crucial in helping the children connect with the past and truly understand the realities of life thousands of years ago.
But the adventures don't stop there! As part of their visit the children also began their journey with the Oxford Song Project, where they learnt the details of the project. Now back at school they are honing their song writing skills and creating their very own original composition. We're excited to see the creative ideas and musical talents of our budding lyricists.
