Pegasus - Reflect and Review

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had an exciting first week of learning in Pegasus class. In Maths, we have been exploring the names and properties of 3-D shapes, including the number of sides, vertices and edges. In English, we have been reading The Jolly Postman, planning a letter about Baby Bear writing to Goldilocks. 

In History, we have been exploring the history of North Hinksey, We have been looking at different types of evidence of North Hinksey school from over 100 years ago including photographs, log books and registers. We make conclusions and deductions based on the evidence that we found. 

Next week:

Next week in English, we will be writing a letter based on our story The Jolly Postman. In maths, we will be revising previously taught content including Addition and Subtraction. In History, we will be creating timelines of the history of Oxford and looking at the history of where we live.  

Please remember to do the Maths homework ready to hand in on Monday - look at the sticker on the homework books if you need a reminder of which weeks are due in. 

PE stays on Mondays and Fridays – children to come to school in their PE kits. Outdoor Learning dates are: 15th January, 29th January and 12th February. Please make sure your child comes to school with their outdoor kit on those dates.

Other information
Weather permitting, we will be starting to use the school field again so please ensure that children come with indoor shoes. There are several students who do not currently seem to have them and when it is muddy, children won’t be allowed on the field if they do not have changes of shoes.

• 26th March - Easter Service at SS Peter and Paul's Church 10am start leaving school 9:15am
